Duplicate entries of Sun Solaris 11 system after patching

Hi Guys,

We are facing an issue of duplicate entries getting created of Sun Solaris 11 system after patching.

Example :-

If we deploy patch of 11.4.29 on one of my Sun Solaris 11 system (earlier whose OS version is 11.4.28) then after successfully patch deployment and a restart we are able to see the duplicate entries of the same system.

One with the older version 11.4.28 which is also grayed out and another with the latest version 11.4.29.

In this situation there are a lot of duplicate entries getting created and also our patch compliance report is getting affected.

Has any one faced this kind of issue, any help will be appreciated.

If BigFix Server receives a registration request from a Client that was rolled back or restored, the Server invalidates the old ComputerID, resets the old Client definition, and assigns a new ComputerID to the registering Client.

Is any restore/roleback done during the patch process?

Have you setup ClientIdentitymatch property in your BigFix? If not set this property and see if it helps.
