Odd issue… Periodically we run into a server whose relay appears to be stopped. the server guy investigates, and the BESrelay.exe is GONE !
what causes that ? The backup job son the server have been exonerated, the antivirus logs checked, no dice… It seems to happen occasionally on a lot of different servers… has anyone seen this behavior before ?
It’s easy to fix, but we’re baffled as to the “why”?

Hey deschodt,
I don’t think there is any known reason for this (I have never heard of it before)… You might check the BES Client logs and see if anyone issued an action to remove it…
Also, you might check to see if the registry keys and folders were left behind… if they were, then it would indicate someone ran the uninstaller… if they were gone, then it would inidicate that something completely deleted it…

It has happened again, and I have opened a ticket… 3 times in 3 months on 3 different servers, it’s not a coincidence anymore 
The reinstall goes well enough but like last time, we can’t figure out why. Trend Micro - crappy as it is - has been exonerated via its own logs.
