Deep Freeze and Bigfix on Macs

We have several departments in our environment that use Bigfix and Faronics Deep Freeze and the two play well together as long as its on a PC…

However, I have just had another student oriented department come online with nigh on 800 Macs running deep freeze and yes, multiple duplicate machine accounts show up in the console as many of these machines are rebooted mutiple times each day…
I do have a scheduled removal of dupes (1862 as of this time of writing) once a day but I eally need the MAC version of Deep Freeze to not do this…
I see he PC white paper which works… but are there any guidelines for the Mac version. ?

Cheers…

Pete

The basic thing is if you can deep freeze the Mac after the install and first run of the client then you should be able to maintain the existing representation of the Mac to BigFix. The same principles of the PC white paper should apply.

The /Library/Preferences/com.bigfix.BESAgent.plist and both /Library/BESAgent and /Library/Application Support/BigFix/BES Agent directories should be preserved if possible.
