Daylight Savings - Web Reports

Did anyone else experience an issue with their reports when the time changed over the weekend? Reports that were scheduled to be sent out at 6AM and 6PM daily were both changed to 5AM and 5PM respectively when the time change occurred.

This occurs because Web Reports tracks scheduled activity next attempt times using UTC rather than the local time zone. So, when the local time zone changes (i.e. daylight savings -> non-daylight savings) reports run an hour earlier or later, depending on the direction of the change.

Obviously, this behavior is not really what users want, and we are tracking the issue.

As a workaround, you should be able to edit the scheduled activity and change the start time to the next time of day that you want it to run (e.g. tomorrow at 6AM) and the activity should go back to the correct time.

We’re internally tracking this at http://bugs.sfolab.ibm.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65373.

Good to know.

Side note: I don’t know if it’s just me or not but that link, via Verizon FIOS, takes me to a bad search link with “porn” written in the search bar. Needless to say, I had a nice chuckle. Apparently Verizon wants me to look at porn.

bugs.sfolab.ibm.com is an IBM internal website. (We use http://www.bugzilla.org/ for bug tracking.)

I’m sorry about the unfortunate redirect…
