Creating Conditions on Bare Metal profiles

HI Folks,

Can we put conditions on the bare metal profiles, So that we can restrict them to specific hardware models.

For example:
I don’t Want Windows 8.1 to be installed on some hardware models. The hardware models are only for windows 7.
or
I don’t want my tablet models to get windows 7 profiles, As they only use windows 8.1.

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi Kanik

the targeting rules should be what you are looking for.
In the Bare Metal OS Deployment Server Manager dashboard if you select a BM server then in the profiles section select a profile and edit it to add a targeting rule.

What I understood from reading the user’s guide is that it will automatically apply the profile, If the match against rule is found for multiple profiles will it show the applicable profiles only or it will show all the profiles.

If more rules match the target, I expect that the first match (processed internally by the product) will apply.
To better suite the targeting rule you can add more conditions in the rule.
