CPM - After upgrading to BES 8, no new virus pattern for Trend Micro

(imported topic written by DjErase91)

Hi everyone,

We’ve made an upgrade from 7.2 to 8.0. We’ve made this manipulations :

http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=1685

  1. Run Task 55: Core Protection Module - Upgrade Server Components on your server.

  2. Re-run the CPM Automatic Update Setup script CPMAutoUpdateSetup2_1.0.4.0.exe.

But our Trend Micro Clients are always with an old Virus pattern signature (the last they received before the upgrade).

We’ve done:

Core Protection Module - Uninstall Server Components

Core Protection Module - Install Server Components

Core Protection Module - Upgrade Server Components

Without error and it’s the same issue.

If you have any ideas.

Thanks.

More informations I’ve found : the process TMCPMAuHelper.exe doesn’t retrieve the LastPatternUpdate and nothing appears in the registry key “LastPatternUpdate”. The exe doesn’t work. Is there a way to reinstall it ?

Here is the error message I receive from BES Console -> Endpoint protection -> Core Protection Module -> Updates -> Update/Rollback

PatternsUnable to load pattern-set manifest. Please run the “Core Protection Module - Set ActiveUpdate Server Pattern Update Interval” task.

The directory C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Core Protection Module Server\Components

doesn’t exist. I manually create it but no file appears in it when I launch TMCPMAuHelper.exe.
