KB4551762 applies for Windows 10 version 1903, Windows Server version 1903, Windows 10 version 1909, Windows Server version 1909.

When can we expect the Fixlets for Windows Server Editions?

Windows Server 1903 and 1909 are not currently supported so you won’t see fixlets for those.

The Server patches are the same as the Windows 10 64-bit patches. What you can do is make a custom copy of those fixlets and then replace the relevance statement that detects Win 10 devices with relevance that detects servers.

I was helping my QA team troubleshoot why “MS20-MAR: Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 - Windows 10 Version 1607 - KB4540723” (the 32 bit version) kept failing with an exit code of 2. I added a log output to the command and found this:

WusaExtractAllFilesFromCabinet.00457: Failed to extract files from cabinet \__Download\windows10.0-kb4521858-x86_217787ec847049ba1582266e05b27001cd9346c8.msu

Which as you can see is the wrong kb. I checked and sure enough, the actionscript is incorrect. Instead of this:

waithidden "{pathname of system folder & "\wusa.exe"}" "{pathname of client folder of current site & "\__Download\windows10.0-kb4521858-x86_217787ec847049ba1582266e05b27001cd9346c8.msu"}" /quiet /norestart"

It should be this:

waithidden "{pathname of system folder & "\wusa.exe"}" "{pathname of client folder of current site & "\__Download\windows10.0-kb4540723-x86_674de7ecc9e9d4125f7f097afd13eeaee80f747d.msu"}" /quiet /norestart"
