Is there any way to disable the splash screen for the Console? Or at least force it to a specific monitor? It is irritating to have to wait for the “Loading” to finish to be able to access desktop shortcuts that the splash covers. The “Loading” dialog can be moved, but not the splash.
As far as I know, there’s no supported way of getting rid of the splash screen. If this is so annoying that you might even think of resorting to the adoption of some unsupported tricks, perhaps replacing the original bitmap with a smaller one might mitigate. Looking at files, there’s one called “BES Console\Reference\console_splash.bmp”.
Thanks for the info! I re-sized it to 10% of it’s original size, so now it isn’t in the way. I can move the “Loading” box to another monitor and continue working.
