Console not removing clients from database

(imported topic written by macook91)

Hello,

I am logged in with a Bigfix console op login. When i right click a computer and select “Remove From Database…” and tell it ok, it does not remove from my list. I have permissions to manage the computer, I can view it, I can deploy to it, but it simply will not remove. Any ideas?

If it is a normal operator, you might not be able to since you are not the person who decides which computers you are supposed to manage.

Has anyone confirmed or denied this? Can a console op not remove computers that he/she controls?

I checked with our developers, and console operators should be able to remove computers that they control.

Do the computers you are trying to remove still have BigFix agents running on them? If you remove a computer, and the client reports back in to the BigFix server, the computer will be restored along with all of its previous data.

I am trying to remove computers that are marked as off and haven’t checked in during 2010.

macook, what version of the console are you using?

(imported comment written by macook91)

7.2.5.22

It works for me at that version. Does the computer go away if you restart your console? Or if you clear your console cache?

Bingo! Had to clear the console cache.
