I’m often adding or removing the same set of columns in the Console to view against my endpoints. I have a few sets of things I look at, maybe just hardware specs, or relay health stuff, or some of my other retrieved properties.
It would be awesome if I could get my view set up as I want, then save it with an option on the context menu. Later, after I’ve rearranged and changed the columns, I could right click and choose that saved set of columns, and it would display my choices from before.
This could save me plenty of time when I’m switching between 3 or 4 different sets of columns to look at.
I agree with these requests as I end up doing the same thing quite often. I would like to expand it as well though. It would be nice if you could pin the computer name (or another property) to the left most side of the pane so when you scroll off the screen to the right you can still identify the updates.
We actually had a meeting with our sales rep and an engineer and we brought up these thoughts and that items like we described are a big part of the upcoming version 8. Could someone confirm that? Thanks.
The next major version of BigFix does a complete revamping of the Console to help with all sorts of things… but I am not sure if these exact changes are in place (and I am not clear if they will continue to be problems with the new scheme)…
