When the clients disconnect from the network, but a restart task is schedueld to run after they disconnect (will they still run the restart task And any fixlet jobs scheduled to run?) In other words, do they need a persistent connection to the relay server to perform the tasks or do they reside on the local client and will run anyway?

Hi gumbinator… Welcome to the BigFix forum…
BigFix Agents do not need network connectivity to run pre-authorized actions… So in your example the agent will happily restart the computer even if it is disconnected from the network…
But if the agent needs to download a file to complete the action, then of course that won’t work without a network connection…
