A few months back I remember seeing a “computer setting” that you could add to a relay computer which would make it “invisible” to clients running relay auto-selection. I have tried in vain for several hours to search using various key words and can’t seem to find it.
I’ve already seen threads on “Last Resort” relay and limiting the number of registered clients on a relay and this is not what I’m looking for.
Does anyone know what this setting is called?
Thanks,
M.

I think creating a relay affiliation advertisement list on the relay will prevent it from being available to clients without a seeklist. We’ve always used relay affiliation, so I’m not sure if this would work if your clients don’t have a seeklist, I think it would be worth trying.
See here for more detail on relay affiliation:

If no relay affiliation groups have been assigned to the BigFix Client, it will select from BigFix Relays that also have no assignment and BigFix Relays that have been assigned to the ‘*’ group

I believe that the setting you are looking for is “
_BESRelay_Selection_AutoSelectableRelay
”, set to 0 on the Relay will cause it to not participate in the Automatic Relay Selection process.
A good place to find settings like this along with descriptions of what they do and what valid values are …
