Computer objects maintenance

(imported topic written by Aristo91)

Hello,

We want to automate a process for removing Computer objects from BES (console and Database) - in accordance with the following rules:

1.Remove all objects with “Last response time” older than 3 months.

2.Remove the oldest one between two objects with the same MAC Address and only if the Client is offline (gray).

Is it possible to implement and how?

Try the BES Computer Remover:

See the help file for the available options…

Having trouble using the tool to only delete machines that have been marked for deletion. I select NOT to mark Expired Computers as Deleted and the tool just quits. I have tried a using just -E and get the same results. Management wants assurance that we only delete data designated for deletion.

C:>BESComputerRemover.exe -P “MAC Address - Windows” -E

No time specified for deletion of Expired Computers, defaulting to 30

No time specified for deletion of Deleted Computers, defaulting to 90
