Computer Group -> Query specific AD group for computer objects

Hi

i’m absolutly new to BigFix and i would like to do the following:

I’ve created an automatic computer group and would like to get it automatically filled in by the computer objects from a specific security group in a specific OU (the group includes some computers which have the bigfix client already installed).

Hlow this is working? Do i need to set it with “Active Directory Path” - but then how i going to read out all the computer objects from this group?

Can someone please give me an example? Sorry … absolute beginner ;-(

Look in the files located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client\__BESData\__Global\ADCache BigFix can only really report from AD what is in it’s cache. You should be able to report on the OUs of users and computers. You might be able to report on AD groups, but I don’t remember. You might be able to run a script that could query AD and tag the machine with the info you need BUT you have to be extremely careful with doing anything that queries something over the network fro…
