Where can I find details about the security/authentication mechanisms that the client uses to connect to the BES server via its relay for the first time (and subsequent times, such as after a reboot)? Thank you.

Inherent in the installation of the agent is a cryptographic key (part of the masthead) that is unique to your installation. Any actions taken must be digitally signed, otherwise the client will ignore them.
