We have previously deployed the BigFix client (BESClientMSI.msi) and upgrades using a Group Policy assignment. The fixlet for upgrading clients removes the old version first. Can the msi be used to upgrade existing clients via GP? Is there a supported/recommended way to do this?

And you should see the upgrade Fixlet in your console… It is called “Updated BES Client Now Available! (Version 7.0.1) - Upgrade Now Available for MSI-Installed BES Clients”
