We have a huge update to the system, which requires an update to 500 plus client machines, for desktop agent, operator agent, Historical and the softphone.
Basically I need to use bigfix to update all of these during a small window…question I have is how

What is the nature of the update? Is it an msi or exe installer that will run on your desktops?

3 of the 4 apps are msi, one is an exe
for those that are msi, i just used the msiexec /x command, for the one that is not, not sure how to create an uninstall for it…

Hey JJ,
That is the trick… Unfortunately, there aren’t many installer standards that people use (apart from MSI) so you need to research each app… Some people like appdeploy.com.
If you can figure out how to do the install/uninstall/upgrade silently from the commandline, then you should be able to easily put the information in BigFix to run it on all your computers…
