Chrome Flash Plugin support?

I was curious whether BigFix is supporting, or plans to support, the Adobe Flash Player for Chrome plug-in? As announced at https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7084871, Google no longer distributes the Flash plug-in with their Chrome installer as of Chrome 54.

New versions of Chrome with the Component Updater enabled will download/install/update Flash when Flash content first executes, but for those of us in Airgapped environments it would be helpful if BigFix had fixlets for the updates.

Does anyone know whether the Flash plug-in at https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?fpchrome is the same that’s already distributed for FireFox?

I don’t think so.
As I understand, plugin for FireFox currently uses NPAPI while plugin for Chrome uses PPAPI.

There is an RFE#96307 (number corrected) for supporting Flash for PPAPI, but as of today, status is “Submitted.”
