Changing The client Download folder

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding the default download folder on the client machines.

Due to our security model, all of our workstation installs have to be launched from a specific folder on the root of C:. In this case it is c:\winstall.

I would like to either move the file from the C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client__BESData__Global__Cache\Downloads and put it in the c:\winstall folder.

OR

Set the default download path from C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Client__BESData__Global__Cache\Downloads to c:\winstall, and have it launched from there.

Any assistance would be appriciated.

I do not think there is any way other than to create a symlink and I don’t actually know if that would work.

The best option would probably be to install the client in the c:\winstall folder.
