We are planning to create Baseline in BigFix console for ILMT and trying to add “Initiate Software Scan”, “Upload Software Scan Results”, “Run Capacity Scan and Upload Results”.
Will it work on all OS system if we deploy dynamically.
Hypothetically, it can BUT those tasks are meant to be ran at different times, at different frequencies and on different events (ex. the “Upload software scan results” becomes relevant only when the software scan has produced the final results which may be now on one machine; maybe in a few hours on another; even in a few days on a third), how do you plan to actually schedule the baseline to run to accommodate those differences?
IBM mandates Capacity scan to be reran every 30 mins if you are to comply with IBM Licensing policies; Software scan is once a week; Upload of scan results is “whenever there are new ones”… Just not sure how you can achieve that from scheduling prospective via a baseline…
