Bigfix stuck at waiting to Gather

Hi,

I have 7.2.5.22 installed. If I go to Manage SITES:

I have “BES Support”, “Enterprise Security”, and “Updates for Windows Applications” ALL Subscribed.

However: The Server is just hanging on “Waiting for server to begin gather.”

The server has a straight shot to the internet, no firewall, unencumbered access to the internet.

If I review the BESGather.log file located at

C:\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\Mirror Server, I see a bunch of unable to find file messages.

Can’t get any SITE content downloaded. I’m still stuck at the initial “Waiting to gather”

I know you said “unencumbered”, but just to double check, are you using a web proxy?

What happens if, on the server box, you try and hit “http://esync.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/bfgather/bessupport” from a web browser? Do you get a text page that starts out “MIME-Version 1.0” or is the page blocked somehow?

Hi Thanks Noah. I think the problem was very strange but at the suggestion of an engineer we bounced the BES service. It worked, the fixlets (some 6,371 of them) were dowloaded. Thanks. Problem remedied. Appreciate your reply. KK
