BigFix Query Tester .. gone missing?

Hello
I’m trying to download Lee Wei’s “BigFix Query Tester”, mentioned in the powerpoint here:
https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27049817&aid=1

alas, the download link
https://ibm.box.com/s/ubomuh2fu86uj03t5h0yc3ckdj1g0788
requires a paid Box account :frowning:

and I can’t find the tool either on Bigfix or IBM websites. :expressionless:

The only working link I found is the one mentioned here:
https://www.bigfix.me/fixlet/details/22364
that points to
http://leewei.com/bigfix/prod/query/BigFixQueryTesterV2.0.zip
but it’s a really old build from 2016.

Anyone got news about a fresher release?

Thanks!

Query is now a feature built in to the WebUI, and it’s also in the 9.5.11 build of the Fixlet Debugger.

Hi @alinder
While query is prensent both in the WebUI and in Fixlet Debugger, both are vastly inferior to the Bigfix Query Tester… and that’s comparing 2019 releases to a 2016 one by the way alas :frowning:

The Tester you mention was produced by sales not by the BigFix platform team so it was never a supported scenario.

If you find something that doesn’t meet your needs you can file RFE’s to get some features added though.

Hi @AlanM
Don’t you find funny/weird that a tool made by sales is superior to the ones released for the production scenarios?
And I mean… if you used @leewei Bigfix Query Tester, I’m pretty sure you’ll agree that it is a much, much more powerful tool than QnA…
