BigFix Protection End of Marketing (EOM), Endpoint of Service (EOS), and the migration process
IBM BigFix Protection will be withdrawn from the market on December 16th, 2016. Customers will not be able to purchase this product after that date. For existing customers, the renewal for BigFix Protection S&S (subscription and support) will not be available after February 10th, 2017. IBM will stop supporting BigFix Protection after December 31st, 2017.

IBM does offer a migration option for existing IBM Protection customers to migrate from IBM Protection to Trend Micro’s OfficeScan product at no additional charge. All customers are highly recommended to take this option to migrate to OfficeScan before their S&S expires.

Note: At this time, Trend will continue to fix bug defects in the Core Protection solution and sites for existing developed components. However, no new enhancements to existing fixlets or components will be made. For instance, components and fixlets will not be updated to support newly released endpoint OS versions. As an example, Fixlet # 19 - “Core Protection Module for Mac - Upgrade Endpoint” in the Trend Micro Core Protection Module for Mac site only supports upgrading CPM on versions of Mac OS up to 10.11 but cannot be used to upgrade CPM on Mac OS versions 10.12+ (as no CPM has been made for 10.12+ nor will there ever be). Please take these facts into consideration when deciding on a timeline for migrating away from this solution.
