BigFix is ramping up its professional services organization. If you are in-between positions/projects, or just curious, please contact professional_services@bigfix.com. Short term contracts are an option, longer-term contracts are available. We have currently identified two profiles:
BigFix Solutions Engineer
– Persons fitting this profile will largely be focused on working with customers on-site to do deployments and to help clients to optimize/extend existing implementations. This requires people who have a strong working-knowledge of the BigFix platform as an administrator. Typically, deep OS skills are important (both Windows or Unix/Linux works). A relatively strong understanding of networking/network infrastructure is also important. Some experience with the BigFix relevance language is critical, extremely deep expertise is a clear differentiator. Additional useful skills: customer-facing skills, written/verbal communication skills, the ability to self-manage, and the ability to manage people/projects.
BigFix Solutions Developer
– Persons fitting this profile will be largely focused on developing customized solutions for customers. A strong background in generic programming languages is a plus, hands-on work experience with the relevance language is a must. Additional useful skills: customer-facing skills, written/verbal communication skills, the ability to self-manage, and the ability to manage people/projects.
Note: these positions currently require a good deal of travel; however, we are aware of the toll this can take on our people and we are always looking for creative ways to facilitate balance. International travel is an option for those with an interest.
