We are pleased to announce that the Power Management site now supports Mac computers.
Just as with Windows computers, the site now supports the ability on Macs to:
- Track powered-on time per day
- View power settings
- Change power settings via the Power Profile Wizard
- Enforce power policies
- Track power consumption and savings over time via the “Power Trend Overview” and “Historical Power Savings” web reports and via the “Power Tracking Information” dashboard
- Turn off computers
- Restart computers
- Override power assumptions
Additionally, Power Management support for Windows 2000 has been extended so that power profiles on Windows 2000 computers can now be set via the BigFix Power Profile Wizard.
This marks the third major wave of enhancements made to the Power Management site in the last few months and additional features are forthcoming.
For a list of all recently released enhancements please see http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?id=1752 and http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?id=1652.
Lastly, as a reminder, BigFix Power Management has been certified by major energy utilities so customers with BigFix Power Management may be eligible for rebates as high as $15 per computer.
For more information about rebates or if you would like a free trial of BigFix Power Management to determine savings potential within your organization, please contact your sales representative or email sales@bigfix.com.
We hope you enjoy the new features and stay tuned for many more in the coming months!
