BigFix Patch for RHEL - demo session on RHSM download plug-in and multi-package baseline

There will be a live session on October 20, 2016, 9am PDT where the BigFix Patch development team will introduce some of the enhancements they are working on for patching RHEL endpoints (with BigFix):

  • RHSM Download Plug-in
    An enhanced version of the download plug-in for RHEL, which uses the Red Hat Subscription Management (RHSM) to download and cache patches from a vendor’s website to the BigFix server. This solution improves the accuracy and reliability of package dependency resolution and repository support.

  • Multiple-Package Baseline Installation
    This feature combines the installation of updates for multiple packages into a single task in a baseline to help reduce the execution time of baselines.
