We need to change the remote SQL server name for redundancy purposes; everything else remains the same. Is it safe to say that all that needs to be done from a BFI perspective is to stop the service, change the server name from the old to the new in the files below, then restart the service?
/wlp/usr/servers/server1/config/database.yml
/wlp/usr/servers/server1/server.xml

Nope! I tried that and now the web page comes back with the initial configuration of creating a new database. Reverting the two files does the same thing. Now I’m hosed. Keeps going to the /setup/database URL. Nice!
I restored the server from a snapshot and I’m back in business. I’ll need to find more technical information to accomplish what I’m after.
