Key updates in HCL BigFix Inventory Catalog 20260809:

  • Discovery of 500+ new software versions including but not limited to the following software manufacturers like Dell, Google, Lenovo, Microsoft, Oracle, RED HAT, SAP & Siemens.

  • Added 7 new Publishers to Catalog (Refer to the release notes for more details).

  • Refreshed EOS information for the IBM Software components (Added -54, Updated -1).

  • Optimization for Catalog processing by removing old software signatures from BigFix Inventory main Catalog. Deleted 10+ signatures.

I’m seeing errors in the Scanner Catalog Distribution task:

The https requires specific action on the BigFix server if not already done. Refer to page 2 in the release notes BigFix-Inventory-11.0.8.0-ReleaseNotes. If this does not help then we recommend to open support case to investigate this further.

It was done… but the subordinate certificates expired 2 days back.

I’ll need to yell at our PKI guy because he didn’t let me know about the impending expiration. Oh wait, that’s me.
