BigFix Client/Relay vs. Trend Client/Relay and upgrade to 8.1.551

I wanted to setup some additional relays for my Trend ESP infrastructure and I noticed a few things I have questions about.

  1. Some of the PCs that I want to make relays I can only make as a BigFix Relay instead of a Trend Relay. They only showup as relevant under the BigFix Relay task and not the Trend Relay task.

  2. I am looking at upgrading from version 8.0.627 to version 8.1.551. However the only relevant task I have is a Tivoli Endpoint task. However we are not even subscribed to that product and are only using the Trend ESP Product. The task to upgrade to Trend ESP 8.1.551 is not relevant.

Could it be that the relays in question are non-windows relays?

The difference between the tasks are only related to the branding of the UIs. Non-windows components do not usually have a Trend ESP branded version and are just the default branding which is as of 8.1 “Tivoli Endpoint Manager” branding. Upgrade fixlets will keep whatever branding is currently being used.
