We are looking to build an application that does some of the same tasks as the BES console does.
in particular,

We want to be able to create a ComputerGroup programatically, and add add computers to it.

Add a baseline that add’s approved patches to the baseline. (would be great if could read a file of approved patches, add them automatically to baseline, but if have to manually search and add the patches for now that’s ok).

Run an action that runs the baseline against the selected computergroup in item 1.

Can press a button and get the results of the running action.
The whole purpose of this above is to allow our customer to be able to quickly deploy patches to a set of computers without having to go into the BES console. I was reading in the API documentation that could not create computer groups programatically??? that might blow this whole thing where then have to build the computer group in BES, then on our program it will read the available computer groups. Hoping not.
Would like to do this in vb.net or c# (prefer vb.net).
If anyone interested please reply back. we just downloaded the API and BESImport tool and are starting to play around to see what we can do, but having someone that can speed this up would be helpful.
