I went through all docs but did not found any prerequisites to be fulfilled before running the asset discovery wizard.
Most of you have used it in your environment hence can you please suggest Is there any prerequisite, like - Do we need to open some ports on firewall level for scanning on networks ? & Do we need to mentioned most common ports or devices ports which most likely being used by them while running discovery wizard ?
& if there is not any, will that default settings of discovery wizard will search all asset like - Router. Switches, Printer etc.
In general, there are no prerequisites aside from the general setup/configuration of Asset Discovery itself. That said, we do generally recommend isolating scans to local subnets where possible. The results will typically be more accurate if scanning local subnets, firewalls/routers will be less impactful, scans will be quicker, and bandwidth consumption will be limited to the given subnet.
