Is it best to run the Fixlets or the downloaded install? My BESInstaller directory is not in the default location.
If using Fixlets, of the two “Updated BES Server and BES Console Now Available! (Version 7.2.4.60)” and “Updated BES Installation Folders Now Available! (Version 7.2.4.60)”, which one should be run first? The later?
The Fixlet instructions state to disable replication if using DSA (which I am). How do you do this?
It depends on what you want to to do or monitor the upgrade process. I have done both, I used to download manually the server upgrade manually so i could watch it. I ended going with using the fixlet and letting it go and it works fine. My install location for BES is on a different drive as well with no problems.
For mid-to-larger customers (20k+ agents), I usually recommend manually upgrading the server (and console on the server computer) because the server upgrade will sometimes take a while and the installer progress bar is heflpul… and then using the Fixlets for everything else…
For most other customers, the Fixlets work quite well and that is how I upgrade my deployment.
I was using Big Fix 6.0 , Recently we have design and build new setup for Big Fix 7.0 . More than 10K client are running with 6.0 client please let me know how to upgrade client to 7.0 and new client will start reporting to Big Fix 7.0 master server.
