BFI Catalog Download Not Kicking Off After Import

Every month we import the new catalog into BFI and after the data import completes successfully, it stops the old “Catalog Download (Version: #)” and deploys the new one, which then deploys the new catalog to all the endpoints. Between August and Septembers catalog import, we upgraded to BFI Version: 9.2.8.0-20170626-1750 and for the first time, the old action is still open and no new one was created.

I took a look at the Import History and saw that Canonical 2/3 failed, even though the import itself shows successful. I tried the import a second time and same results.

Could it be a bad catalog?

Hi Alexa,

Best is to open a PMR. We will need import logs.

Andrzej

I’ve upgraded it to 9.2.9 and am doing the native Data Import following the schema update. We’ll see what happens this time.

The import was successful but the Catalog Download doesn’t kick off.

Apparently a possible bug that triggers for some reason or another; tech note here.

I upgraded to BFI v9.2.9, but the import immediately following a typical upgrade wasn’t enough to trigger the download action; I had to upload and import the September catalog again. That worked.
