BFArchive now open source, has mac version

(imported topic written by BrianPGreen)

Hey Everyone,

The BFArchive tool is now open source, and lives on github here:

There are binaries for linux, mac, and windows on the ‘Releases’ tab here:

If you find any bugs, or have any other issues with it, please use GitHub issues:

We’d like to start open sourcing some more tools as well. Is there anything else that you’d like to see?

Brian

Thanks Brian, this is extremely helpful.

The more tools released the better, but I can’t think of anything specific at the moment.

Hey Brian

I would REALLY like the “PropertyIDMapper” and the “Audit Trail Cleaner” to be available as open projects.

My thing is that it is very hard to figure out what actually happens IN the database when doing any of these operations. I have been able to do some of the work by using the SQL Profiler, but both IDMapper and Cleaner seems to have an application-level of logic relying on predefined (HC’ed) values… And i would really like to see what they are

/Jesper

The fixlet debugger could use some improvements / extensibility or open sourced.
