Hi,
I recently complete a fresh install of the server and console. A run of the diagnostic tool gives the error that the BESGather service cannot connect to the internet. However I can connect to the Gather URL with a browser.
I also noticed that the ODBC DSNs are not setup at all. I am trying a setup on Windows Server 2008 R2.
Any pointers on what the issue could be? Any help appreciated since I’m stuck on this issue for quite a while…

Click on the “?” next to the error in the diagnostics tool for more information on how to resolve the issue.
And make sure that you are looking in the right place for the ODBC settings if you are using x64:

I fixed the BESGather problem following this

and I guess I was looking in the wrong place for the ODBC settings. The DSN seems to be ok now

If you’re on a 64 Bit server your problem is that you’re looking at the 64 Bit ODBC by default where BigFix creates itself in the 32 bit one.
Run the following to pull up the 32 bit ODBC
C:\windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
