Every Time I try to Apply patches, the BESClient Status goes to , but as soon as I restart the BESClient Service on the Client PC the Patch Installation begins…
I checked 52311 is open Bidirectionally bet Client & relay but the problem still persist.
There are on-demand and polling systems in place that help BES Client’s to contact the BES Server and learn about new actions. When you deploy an action, a UDP message is sent through the BES Relay infrastructure to the BES Client, when the BES Client gets the udp it gathers the action from its BES Relay. When you restart a BES Client, one of the first things it does is poll up to the BES Relay and check for new actions.
The fact that restarting the client gets the action quickly when restarted makes me suspect that either a network firewall or personal firewall is blocking UDP 52311.
If UDP is open, you should see this sort of message in the BES Client log indicating that it is receiving the message shortly after you take an action:
