Besclient not listenning at 52311 port

Hi all,

I have a problem, we have a couple of servers with besclient running.
I’m trying to perfrom a task on all servers, almost all succeeded but in others, even let the task enabled by days but not start.
After digging a lot I saw something strange. On the servers running fine and responding well but the servers with error the agent is not listenning at the 52311 port.
I tried to restart but not worked, all the servers are running the same besclient version and have the same configuration files.

We have AIX and Linux servers, all the servers with the problem are AIX, some power 5 and others power 6 and power 7.

The obvious first question is … Is your deployment actually using the 52311 port as this is configurable at server install time?

You should look at the client log of the machine and see if you see something like this in the log

SetupListener success: IPV4/6

This is the socket setup for the UDP messages that the client receives over the deployment port.
