BESAgent without jre

Hello all,

My installation has apparently problems to download and install java runtime for besagent.

Server with installed java runtime.

Installed agent -> BESAgent-9.5.5.196-sle10
OS -> SLES 11.4.

Kernel -> 3.0.101-97.1.tux4vm-default

Is there any possibility to trigger the auto installation ?

Can you be a bit more specific? Is this trying to do work with the BESAgent or a setup issue? The BESAgent definitely doesn’t need a jre

the install process went fine, besagents are reporting and sending data to the BES servers. However BESAgents are not running health checks. According to bigfix infra team it is caused by missing java which should be downloaded by the agents themselves. So I am trying to figure out what can kind of steps I should take now and what might have gone wrong from the deployment part.

I am new to bigfix and basically I have just installed rpm, changed license and config files.

That is an internal implementation for GTS IBM Customers. You need to reach out the IBM GTS Support Team if you are having problems.

What I believe is that you are missing some pre-requisite tasks that should be executed before running the security scans.

Yes, I’m afraid this is related to the IBM GTS Compliance Manager content in BigFix and so you won’t get support for it in this forum. I need to contact the GTS BigFix helpdesk to resolve it.
