BesAgent service start issue for Redhat 7

Hello

We tried to install BesAgent on RedHat 7 server. It seems we installed the agent succesfully but when we could not start BesClient. I’m sharing the error from the command line.

rpm -qa |grep -i BESAgent
BESAgent-9.5.13.130-rhe6.x86_64

/etc/init.d/besclient status
BESClient is stopped

etc/init.d/besclient start
Starting BigFix: BESClient: [FAILED]

How can I find the details log about this error? Also, could you help me to solve this issue?

Hello!

Did you place the masthead file in /etc/opt/BESClient? Please see https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSQL82_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.doc/Platform/Installation/c_red_hat_installation_instructi.html for reference.

I did this exact thing yesterday. Works perfectly.

Don’t forget that /etc/opt/BESClient needs to be created as it is not when installing the package.
