BES Relay stopped and I'm not sure why

Hey Folks,

This morning I noticed that my 2 test machines we’re checking in to BigFix. After a bit of digging I found that the BES Relay service on our sole relay had stopped. I checked the logs and found this

Thu, 13 Oct 2022 02:40:36 +0000 - 1368 - BES Relay received stop request
Thu, 13 Oct 2022 02:40:36 +0000 - 1396 - BES Relay shutting down

Im not sure what would have triggered this, I was fast asleep so it wasnt me :smile:

Now that I have a time stamp are there any other logs worth checking to try and figure this out.

If the stop was issued from BigFix, there will be some log entry in the BigFix client log on this relay. Check the client log for any activity at that time.

Is this a Windows or Linux relay? If Windows relay, check the system logs for any entries when the relay service was stopped. There should be some similar log information in Linux also.
