One of our BigFix Console users reported that he “lost” the ability to right click on computers in the console that copies just the computer name(s) to the clipboard. We admins had never seen this ability, but then the user pointed out a task a previous admin had created years ago that installed utilities that added entries to the right click menu.
Apparently this extra console capability came from BigFix Labs:
http://support.bigfix.com/labs/customright.html
The 8.0 version of the task was what was used, and from what I can tell, it probably worked up through at least BigFix 9.5.7 (at least for us). The error we see with that task now is a Download error for BESConsoleRightClickInstall.exe having the wrong sha1 value specified.
Can someone comment on the updated version of that right click install executable? Is it okay for use on the 9.5.9 console?
Additionally, is the information in the BF Labs article about customizing the right click menu via the Windows registry still valid for console version 9.2.x and 9.5.x?
