Baselines take all day to run

Hello,

I have a baseline that provisions new installs of Windows with several applications (Office, web browsers, etc…) This baseline takes more than 24 hours to run because the apps are perpetually “mirroring downloads.” This is in spite of several relays being available on the network, including one on the same subnet as the target computer. It is literally quicker for me to sit down in front of the machine, download and install everything manually than to use Bigfix. Is there anything I can do to speed this up? The largest app installed is MS Office 2019 Pro Plus.

Have you increased the size of the cache on your relays? I believe the default is 1GB and you definitely want to raise it to cache all of the apps you are deploying.

you also want to make sure you’re not setting the stagger client downloads option, i’ve seen that apply to each action in the baseline and definitely adds time.

Exactly! I got caught up on that one too. Setting the cache time seemed to have helped. Thanks!
