Baseline Sync problems

(imported topic written by sinucus)

I’ve had an issue with the Baseline Synchronization Wizard for a few months now. I thought that eventually it would resolve itself but it has not.

If I click All Content->Dashboard->All Dashboard->Baseline Synchronization Dashboard I get a screen. On that screen all of my baselines have the Sync Status of “out-of-sync”. If I click on the hyperlink it shows why it’s out-of-sync. Every fixlet in my baseline is “in-sync” for Relevance but some are “out-of-sync” for Action. No matter what I do, when I click “Sync Baselines” it will go through the motions but it never sync the Actions. When I look at the details they appear to be the same so I’m not sure what is happening.

The interesting thing here is if I click "Bigfix Labs->Other Dashboards and Wizards->Baseline Synchronization Dashboard, I get a different screen than the one above. Unfortunately it does not work/fix my problem either. :frowning:

I have tried deleting my baselines and importing new copies, still no luck.

Any ideas?

If you open the baseline in the console in the baseline editing ui, does it show up as out-of-sync? If you sync it there, does it work?

Sadly, no. If I edit the baselines through the normal baseline edit, it shows fully sync’d. This appears to just be a bug in the wizard in that it doesn’t sync actions.

I find I have a MUCH better experience with the Baseline Synchronization Dashboard in BigFix Labs.

While I’ll agree with your statement it still doesn’t change the fact that it is broken for me in the BigFix Labs dashboard as well. :frowning:

Is there anyone monitoring the labs@bigfix.com email anymore?

Was this ever resolved? I have a client with a Baseline containing RHEL patches. If I click on the go to source link from the baseline, it links to the source which is marked superseded. The content in the baseline does not match, yet the baseline itself does not report it as out of sync, nor does the baseline sync dashboard… any thoughts? This is 9.5.2.
