I have a baseline I run on some of our machines normally frozen by Deep Freeze. I thaw the machines, run the baseline, and then freeze them again, with the freeze and thaw actions being done manually, outside the baseline.
The baseline has the following Relevance:
mac of operating system
and
not boolean "Frozen" of dictionaries of file "/Library/Application Support/Faronics/Private/StorageSpace/DeepFreeze/com.faronics.deepfreezed.plist"
(to make sure the device isn't still frozen)
Some of the content in the baseline should always run, so I have their Relevances set to true. However, the machines sometimes report back "Not Relevant", or run into other weird issues for content that should have no trouble running.
For example, these are the last two items in the baseline, BESClient refresh, and Restart Immediately:
When I look at the Component Applicability, all of the relevant machines report the component as applicable:
However, on the devices, I see things like notify client forcerefresh failing:
(the same fixlet ran successfully right after when deployed outside the baseline)
or getting reported as Not Relevant:
The same/similar happens for the Restart Immediately fixlet:
On these machines, they indeed did not reboot as expected, so the content didn't run. The same fixlets/tasks run just fine on the same devices when ran outside the baseline, so I'm not sure where things are getting mixed up. What could cause a device to report a fixlet with Relevance true as Not Relevant?
