Bare Metal OS Deplyment Server Manager

Hi, I am trying to install and configure IBM Endpoint Manager for OS Deployment. I am using VMware Workstation. I have 2 virtual servers with WIN 2008 R2 x64, one is domain controller (AD, DHCP, DNS), second is IEM server.

My problem is that I don’t see any relay in “Bare Metal OS Deployment Server Manager” dashboard so I can install Bare Metal Server.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong probably I didn’t configure something.

Hi,

have you checked the “Health Check” Dashboard ?

May be some configuration steps need to performed (activate some analysis,…): you may check that dashboard if configuration is correct or some failure are highlighted…

Hi,

Yes, I checked and everything looks fine.

Health checks for Bare Metal have status “pass”.

Health checks for General missing only “At least one WIM Uploaded” and “At least one Driver Uploaded” but this shouldn’t be linked to my problem.

Hi, I solved my problem with Bare Metal Server installation. The problem was that I installed IEM Relay on my Domain Controller Server but I forgot to add Domain Controller Server to “OS Deployment and Bare Metal Imaging” site, after I added my DC Server to correct site I can install Bare Metal Server on it.

I still don’t know why I can’t install Bare Metal Server on my IEM Server even if it is added to correct site. But this isn’t problem form me because it is only testing environment :slight_smile:
