Thank you for your immediate reply. I have one more doubt. After installing the fixlets, it is displaying " completed cache-on bes server" but it is not reporting. Looking For your valuable replies.

Now we have downloaded the " Install NMAP Asset Discovery Import Service" but now we are facing the same download problem while downloading “Designate NMAP Scan Point”.

Shall we try downloading the links:

It sounds like perhaps your proxy is blocking the downloads from software.bigfix.com. Can you start a case with our support team at enterprisesupport@bigfix.com and they will help you with the issue. Hey saravana,

The downloads come from bigfix.com, which is different from many other Fixlet downloads that come from microsoft.com or mcafee.com or other places. But a support technician should be able to help figure out the issue if you start up a case.

Also, your attachment didn’t come through for some reason.

Error Status: Retryable Error: Http_err_UrlMonError

The “Http_err_UrlMonError” tells me that you are using a proxy and it failed to download from our site. Here is an easy way to tell:

  • Look at your Windows Services dialog and see which user is running as “BES Gather Service”.
  • Log into the BES Server as that Windows user.
  • Try to hit the above urls from software.bigfix.com.

I bet the issue is related to your proxy not allowing downloads from software.bigfix.com.

Hi Saravana,

we had exactly the same issue and tracked it to the corporate proxy/AV scanner blocking the download of NMAP as, using heuristics, it looked like a virus to it. You should try downloading it manually at home or somewhere without a content checking proxy and dropping the files to the \Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\wwwrootbes\bfmirror\downloads\sha1.
