Anyone using all the features of BigFix with SuSE Linux

(imported topic written by bkone91)

I am wondering if there are others running SuSE Linux Enterprise Server and maintaining the patching and configurations of their endpoints with BigFix. So far my experience has been less than desirable but the higher powers that be are more or less stating this is the tool, make it work. I have had plenty of problems patching and discovered a bug in the client which takes several hours to patch one simple system. I was able to create a few fixlets which was a pretty big learning curve. Like I said just wondering cause most of the threads I’ve read on this site reference Windows. For Windows BigFix appears to be an exceptional tool. Any SuSE users have any good tips or suggestions to aid in my BigFix hurdles?

Hi bkone,

Is the client bug you ran into still open? (Did Support give you a bug number for tracking?)
