getting this error BESClient dead but subsys locked" is displayed.
I tried the below steps:
Resolution
Confirm the BESClient lock file exists in the /var/lock/subsys directory.
See an example of expected folder’s content when you run the “ls /var/lock/subsys” command:
BESClient BESGatherDB BESWebReportsServer network rhsmcertd
BESFillDB BESRootServer BESWebUI rhnsd
Check to see if the BESClient process is running:
ps -aux | grep -i besclient
Kill any besclient processes still hanging around:
kill -9
Check to see if the BESClient lock file is still in the /var/lock/subsys directory. If so, delete it.
Try to start the BESClient service again:
service besclient start
