Advice needed in using the Enable Privacy feature from BigFix Remote Control v10

Hello All,

Our environment endpoints are updated to v10 Remote Control which provides a stable release of a feature called ENABLE PRIVACY.

We want it to be automatically enabled whenever someone takes remote control of that device. Hence, needed advice in doing that.

Hello adityaporwal,

If you have a RC server you need to set the following policies:

  • Set target locked = yes
  • Display screen on locked target = no

if you want prevent the Privacy Mode from being disabled during a session from the Controller you can set:

  • Allow input lock = no

while for P2P sessions (no RC server installed) you need to manually set the following properties:

  • EnablePrivacy = yes

if you want prevent the Privacy Mode from being disabled during a session from the Controller you can set:

  • AllowPrivacy = no
