Action status report by user

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

We are creating a portal for our help desk and interns to be able to launch application installation actions to the end user, without needing the console.

I am looking for inspiration on how to send these same users a report on the statuses of thier deployed actions (fixed, completed, failed, etc) via email. Im not good at WebReports, but that is a road I am going down. I also have the following relevance working, but not really sure how I can use it.

(((statuses of results of it) as string), name of it, name of issuer of it, time issued of it) of bes actions whose (name of issuer of it as uppercase contains “username” as string as uppercase)

Any ideas? Is there a solution out there I need to be made aware of.

EDIT: In Web Reports, under explore data, I can see teh actions my users create. If I could remove the other data that report is obtaining (managed computers, custom content), I may be able to make that work. How can I copy-edit that?

Well… this is hard because there isn’t any way in web reports to customize the email field…

So you could create a different custom report based on your relevance and set up an email to each user every x hours… but you would need to set up the report and the email scheduled task for each user…

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. However I am struggling how to get it done… the custom report.

I want to use the data I get from 'Explore Data/ Operators/ ’ However I only want the ‘Deployed Actions’ field, and not the others ‘Administrable Computers’, ‘Custom Actions’ etc. If I can get that information seperate, I will save it to a custom report for that user, and then trigger the email for that report based off of some perameters.

I hope that makes sense.

I’ve attached a screenshot of what I have in mind. The white boxes are just to censor company sensitive data.
